Kier approved as Main Contractors

Kier has been approved as the main contractor for the £42m refurbishment and extension of Paisley Museum.

The contract is worth £23m and the revamp of the Category A-listed Victorian building is expected to start this summer following final negotiations with the company.

Led by the design of project architects AL_A, Kier will reveal historic interiors which have been hidden for decades. They will deliver a new step-free entrance courtyard and entranceway through the museum to the Coats Observatory, a new glazed west wing extension, outdoor garden space and fully accessible public galleries.

This is a significant milestone for the project and the team look forward to welcoming and working with Kier.
